Fruit Trees and Berrybushes
Today we planted our blueberry bushes. We are waiting for blackberries to turn black and juicy. They are everywhere and the hope is for an abundant crop for jam, pies, and puddings. The plums are green and tiny, but there are so many dangling from the new growth branches at the back fence we now share with our very fine neighbors. Let me see: we have figs trees, grapes, blackberries, blueberries, plums, pears, one crabapple tree. These are all the permanent items we will now enjoy every summer; however we also have watermelon and cantaloupe planted in each corner of the garden.
